With head bowed and hands bound, this captive woman has lost all agency. Her short wig and naked, tattooed body indicate that she was not a native Egyptian; it is also possible she has been lashed with a whip. Figurines of bound captives were probably placed in burials to ensure that, through magic, foreigners were successfully dominated by the Egyptians.
